Consumers rate phones for service

A new survey has found consumers prefer to speak to a person over the phone rather than using online when it comes to services such as booking a tradesperson, making appointments or dealing with customer service issues.

The national study by D&M Research found over 80% of consumers expressed a preference for the phone for various options – including booking a service, making appointments or dealing with customer service issues.

Seventy four per cent preferred the phone over internet for home delivered meals, 69% preferred the phone for financial planning and 63% preferred the phone for planning a holiday.
